Rev. Arfon Lloyd Thomas – Revivalist Minister at Griffithstown Baptist Church, Pontypool

Brought up in a small Methodist chapel in Bathampton and attending 3 services every Sunday Arfon did not have a real relationship with our Heavenly Father until a conversion experience which has guided him ever since. Arfon and his wife, Janet, worked in Youth ministry before being called to Brazil as Hostel Parents in 1989. On their return Arfon was called to full time Ministry with the Baptist Union. Following time in Pembrokeshire, Stroud and the Isle of Wight he now ministers in South Wales. He has travelled to Australia, New Zealand and America to preach on ‘Revival’ and ‘Renewal’. Tony interprets the ‘life of Christ’ as a practical expression of how God desires to make people’s lives better. The model that Tony uses mostly to share and explain the life of Christ is; Jesus’ own example of the Good Samaritan.
The Lawyer asked, “Who is my neighbour?” …
Jesus answered, “He who stopped and showed compassion… even if he’s your enemy”.
